I Like The Smell Of Polish

I like the smell of polish in the morning.
In fact I like it any time of day.
It always makes me think of dear old Suzie,
Who sadly packed her bags and moved away.

She moved away and now I'm pining for her
Essences of lavender and cloves.

I like the smell of polish in the hallway,
Drifting as it does throughout the house.
It makes a pleasant contrast with cigar smoke,
Especially when you spray it in the mouth.

In the mouth, and that is way she left her
Essences of lavender and cloves.

Oh Suzie, forgive me, I'd like you to shine anew.
This time I promise not to spray polish all over you.

Ruefully I think about old Suzie
And often wonder who she works for now.
I pray to God she won't decide to sue me,
'Cause if she does I'll never live it down.
I will probably have to leave town.
If she does I'll never live it down.

Live it down.
I'm such a clown and now I'm pining for her
Essences of lavender and cloves.

Oh Suzie, forgive me, I'd like you to shine anew.
This time I promise not to spray polish all over you.
